What is the difference between Remanufactured and Refilled cartridges?

A Remanufactured cartridge has simply been broken down, and all internal parts replaced. Then reassembled and filled with toner/ink for sale once again. With this practice, the quality of the cartridge is as excellent, if not better than OEM cartridges.

A refilled cartridge is ONLY refilled with toner or ink. The internal parts never get replaced. Because of this method, the quality of the cartridge suffers.

Is the "page yield" the same in a Remanufactured cartridge as in an OEM (new) cartridge?

As a matter of fact YES. Not only will they have the same "page yield", but often MORE than OEM.

What kind of Guarantee comes with Printer Solutions' Brand Cartridges?

Our cartridges come with our 100%, NO Questions Asked, Guarantee.

It is this SIMPLE: If our cartridge spills, leaks, causes damage, or just isn't performing properly; Printer Solutions will replace the cartridge as well as repair any damage caused to your printer, at No Cost to you. (You can not find this kind of Guarantee with OEM brand manufacturers.)

What are the cost savings with Remanufactured Cartridges in comparison to OEM cartridges?

The cost savings are tremendous, with prices up to 60% Less than the OEM brands.

What is typical turn-around time and delivery method for any/all cartridge orders placed?

Printer Solutions hand delivers all supplies and typical turn-around is Next Day. (Next day delivery orders must be placed by 2:00PM CST. Most orders are delivered Next Day, some orders may take 3-5 bus. days depending on availability.)

What do you do with your "empty" cartridges?

Printer Solutions will gladly pick up any/all of your empty cartridges FREE of charge. Simply call our office, and we can dispatch our Delivery Driver out to you.

What is our On-Site Response time to a service call placed?

Printer Solutions' normal response time is 3-4 Hours.

What is the charge for On Site Labor?

The On Site charge is $75.00 Flat Rate.

Does Printer Solutions only fix printers?

Printer Solutions repairs printers, fax machines and plotters. Printer types include: Laser, Ink, Dot Matrix and Barcode.

Is On Site repair the only option for customers?

No, we also have Carry In service available. The Carry In costs are:

  • Evaluation: $15.00
  • Carry In Labor: $50.00 Flat Rate

What ways can a Work Order be placed, and the status monitored?

A Work Order can be placed right from our homepage or by calling a representative at 210-344-0332. Once a Work Order is placed, a Work Order Number will be given. With this number, status can be checked on our website, or by calling in.

What is Printer Solutions' Warranty on Service and Parts?

Our Warranty is 90-Day, Unconditional Guarantee on Service and Parts.

What is normal turn-around time from Diagnose to Repair?

With our Technicians having stock parts in their trucks, 90% of all Work Orders are completed upon first visit. In the instance our Technicians do not have the part needed for repair, once part is approved by the user, normal part arrival time is 3-5 business days shipped ground. (Overnight shipping is avail upon request for an additional fee.)

Service Agreement

Does Printer Solutions offer any types of maintenance or service agreements?

Yes, Printer Solutions offers both. We have our "Quarterly Maintenance Plan" and our "Service Agreement".

What are the benefits/advantages to this agreement?

Having a Service Agreement in place is beneficial to keeping up productivity and limiting down time. With a Service Agreement, you will have the peace of mind that your printers' needs will be taken care of and will not require untimely expenses.

"Who" is this program designed for?

This program is designed for Medium to Large Sized Business. (Typically, 10+ printers.)

When the "Initial Service" is performed, how long will down time be for printers to be operational again?

To inspect and Preventative Maintenance a printer only takes approx. 15 minutes per printer. If parts are NOT needed, then the printer will be down for that amount of time.

If parts ARE needed, and provided the printer was operational before our visit, the printer will still be operational. We will have to return with parts, and installation normally takes no more than 30 minutes.

What exactly are "printer accessories" that are not warranted discussed in "Items Warranted" section? Consumables?

"Printer accessories" not warranted: Network Card, Duplexer, Accessory Tray(s), Stapler/Stacker, Memory, Firmware, etc.

Consumables: toner cartridges, drums, ink cartridges, ribbon, thermal tape, Maintenance Kits(at due intervals), etc.

What is a "non-conformed" manufacturer's site specification listed in "Exclusions" section?

Basically, this is any specification set forth by the manufacturer for the operation/use of the machine. (Example: i.e., not plugged directly into wall outlet, incorrect media being used, etc.)

What are the Manufacturer Page Count intervals?

For every printer they are different, but here is an example:

  • HP LaserJet 4000: Maint Interval is 200,000 Pages
  • HP LaserJet 8100: Maint Interval is 350,000 Pages

In every laser printer, there is a page counter that keeps track of pages printed. This usage determines when a Maintenance Kit is needed.

Why do I have to use only Printer Solutions' Brand toner or HP Brand toner?

Since any service agreement would never cover any consumables such as toner, we offer the different advantage of covering it, just as long as it is Printer Solutions brand or HP brand toner. So, for example, if our toner leaks in your printer, we will clean the printer for FREE and not be counted against you like a normal service agreement would.

The Quarterly Maintenance Plan is a beneficial to maintain and keep printers working in optimum condition. Having regular maintenance done ensures quality performance and limits downtime.

Are we locked in to this program with a contract of any kind?

No, there are no forms to sign and no contract to follow. This plan is designed with ease in mind for the Small Business.
